This May in Barcelona is packed full of great events for you to enjoy. There are a few major sporting events, plenty of music and also a beer festival to name but a few! Below listed are some events that we think you will enjoy!

Primavera sound 2015

 

From the 28th to the 30th of May is the 15th edition of Primavera Sound Festival so you can look forward to what is sure to be another fantastic Festival! Primavera, is an annual music festival that takes place in Barcelona and is held within the Parc del Fòrum leisure site—located approximately 6 km north east from the center of Barcelona—in the Diagonal Mar area of the Sant Martí district, by the coast of the Balearic Sea. The event is one of the largest music festivals in Spain, with an increasing attendance rate of more than 100,000 each year.

Copa Del Rey Final

The long awaited final of the Copa Del Rey in Spain is almost here and for the 2014/2015 season it will be a ferocious match between FC Barcelona v Athletico Bilbao on Saturday 30th May 2015 at Camp Nou in Barcelona.

ACDC

On Friday 29th May the Australian rock legends AC/DC perform in Barcelona as part of their 40th anniversary World tour. The concert will take place at the Estadi Olimpic which is on the hill behind the MNAC and the Magic Fountain. The easiest way to get there is to walk from Plaza Espanya station which will take about 15 minutes.

Formula 1 Barcelona

 

 

Barcelona Formula One F1

On Friday the 8th of May the Barcelona F1 Formula One race begins and is 3 fast and furious days! The race is one of the most looked forward to events in the Formula One calendar and takes place at the Montmelo Circuit de Catalunya which is approximately one hour north of Barcelona.

The Barcelona F1 racetrack has fifteen grandstands, all of which face enormous screens and three of which are under cover. There are also plenty of food/drink stalls and everything you need to make this a truly incredible experience.

Barcelona Biergarten Beer Festival

The Barcelona Biergarten Beer Festival at Poble Espanyol returns in the spring of 2015 for its second year of german themed fun! Poble Espanyol is situated on Montjuic hill and will be transformed for 4 days from Thursday April 30th to Sunday May 3rd into a typical German Biergarten (German for beer garden) with beer and food, live music, workshops, competitions, prizes, fun and surprises for all the family.

It is a well known fact that German beer and German food – such as Bratwürst and Pretzels – are delicious and so we are sure you will enjoy the day. For more information about the Barcelona Biergarten Beer Festival click here.
