As we know you need a lot of time to see all the sightseeing in Rome, but still when the weather is too hot it is really good to spent one day at the beaches of Rome to get refreshment.

The beach which is really easy to reach calls Santa Marinella. So if you feel tired of Rome and the heat during the summer you should really escape there for one day.
You can take the train at the stations Termini, Trastevere or San Pietro. You can start your trip from all of them, depends which is more practical for you.
The end station of the train calls Civitavecchia but you will get off exactly at Santa Marinella. With a round-trip-ticket for 7 € the trip takes you about 30-40 minutes.
Normally there is a train every hour but to be sure with the exactly time table check the page of Trenitalia.
When you get off of the train in Santa Marinella there is just one street which you have to follow until you find a cross-way.
By turning to the right you will find the beach.
