Pulls the brake and stop in the coolest bar in Rome
Are you looking for good Italian food to enjoy with tasty cocktails, in an artsy location full of interesting people?
Freni e Frizioni in Rome is the right place.
Hugging the banks of the Tiber and designing a network of streets and small squares, Trastevere is for sure one of the most amazing places in Rome. It keeps a special atmosphere, folk, magical: it is a place full of tradition, while it is here that young people prefer to meet and create new spaces.
Just in the heart of Trastevere, there is a must-go in Rome: Freni e Frizioni Bar.
Literally translated as brakes and clutches, is one of the coolest cocktail bar in Rome, a real meeting point for customers of all ages, dynamic and international.
Born in 2005 and housed in a former car workshop, Freni e Frizioni is situated in the heart of Trastevere, Rome’s trendy, bohemian district on the banks of the Tiber, a minute walk from Piazza Trilussa.
You can go there for a drink during the day, for the Sunday brunch, for a cocktail late at night. But I really suggest you to go starting from 19.00 every night, the Italian aperitif hour: you’ll find the place full of people who enjoy the bar, the terrace and the adjacent square, eating and drinking.
From 19.00 to 22.00, in fact, you can eat pasta, pizza, cous cous, sandwiches, appetizers jut paying for your drink: a good opportunity to have a generous dinner for 6 euros, while meeting people in a friendly atmosphere.
Also crispy, crunchy vegetables dressed by homemade sauces and if that’s not enough flavor for you, you can always sprinkle on some bright yellow curry powder, fennel seeds or walnuts.
At Freni e Frizioni you’ll find all you can eat big antipasti buffet and also well known cocktails: in particular a really smelly and tasty mojito, or a wide selection of wine.
You’ll take pleasure sitting on sofas inside, or in the square where a crowd of young people usually gather.
If you’re looking for a good starting point in your Roman nights, well, this is the right one.
And maybe you’ll enjoy there much more than an hour!
