One of the most beautiful things on Earth is the diversity of our cultures. There are different traditions and customs on the same day. Some of them are similiar to our customs, others are totally different. But isn't this what makes travel so exciting?

For example, on January 6: in Spain children are waiting for the three holy kings, while in Germany children go wander from door to door singing dressed up as the three kings. In Italy, it is also different. Here children are waiting for La Befana, a good witch. She is coming during the night of January 5, and brings toys and sweets for the good children and lumps of coal for the bad ones.
On January 6, there will be a parade starting around 2pm at Piazza Pitti. Around 3pm everyone will meet at Piazza Duomo where there will be music and speeches while everyone is waiting for the procession. Don't miss this opportunity, and celebrate January 6 in a different way!
There is no doubt that Florence offers several events and activities in January. There are classical events like opera, ballet and concerts coming to the city. But there is one event in January that steals the limelight:
Pitti Immagine – Florence Fashion week
In January, Florence Fashion week is on the agenda again. This event can be seperated in different parts.
Pitti Immagine Uomo 87 and Pitti Immagine W 15 are taking place from January 13 to 16 in Florence. There will be clothes and accessoires for men and women presenting the contemporary lifestyle trends. Approximately 1090 brands for men plus 70 women's collections will be offered. Last year, over 30,000 visitors attend the last edition.
From January 22 to 24, there will be the event Pitti Bimbo – a fair for children clothes and from January 28 to 30 there will be Pitti Filati – a fair presenting the lifestyle trends of the future.
