The New year means a new start and also new opportunities to discover! Take a trip to Rome and discover some of the greatest things going on in January which are listed for you below.
Of course, in most places, and Rome is no exception, in January the post Christmas sales start and shops are full of people searching for some clothes for the new year and spending their Christmas Money! These sales are known as ´´Saldi´´ and are great sales that are held once every 6 months (July and January), which are regulated by the Italian government. In Rome they are great for receiving discounts on virtually all goods in everywhere from big stores to family owned shops.
The Saldi lasts until about the middle of February and so smart shoppers will wait until after Christmas to buy their goods. There are bargains to be found everywhere and during the Winter sales the Italian shopkeepers are especially open to bartering. So it is always worth a try if you want to get some even better discounts!
