This July in Barcelona is absolutely jam packed with great things to do and plenty of music festivals so you are sure to never be bored! Read on to find out some of our suggestions.

El Grec summer festival of Barcelona takes place during the entire month of July and is one of the biggest and longest cultural festivals in Spain. The festival is filled with art forms such as Circus, dance, music, theatre and other stage acts which will take over Barcelona for its duration. This year will be the 39th year of the festival which shows its ongoing success and popularity. There are activities and events for all age ranges.

Where: Castle of Montjuic
From the 3rd July until the 7th August the gardens of Castle Montjuïc become Sala Montjuïc. It is a great open air movie festival with a beautiful location in the gardens of the castle. After the 3rd July there will be movies shown outdoors several times a week. Bring whatever you want with you to make this experience perfect or turn it into a little picnic with your own blankets, food and drinks. Montjuïc (Mountain of the Jews) is very close to the city centre and is easily accessible either by walking, cable car, or funicular from Paral-lel metro station.As well as movies there are also many acts playing live music such as samba, blues, flamenco and jazz. Where: Several venues in Vilanova i la Geltrú
Vida festival celebrates everything that is great about la Vida (Life). The festival takes places in a town about 45 minutes from Barcelona known as Vilanova i la Geltrú. Barcelona. This festival is quirky, different and in a great location with many original stages. It is famous worldwide and attracts an audience from all walks of life but it is very spacious and never gets overcrowded – so you can listen to music and dance, or you can relax and have a quiet picnic.
There are performances from many different artists and from all genres including pop and rock artists, singer-song writers, dj´s and more. As well as this there is a lovely market that showcases a whole array of different creations from national and international artists.

Where: Parc del Fórum
Cruilla is yet another fantastic festival taking place this summer in Parc del Fórum! This varied music festival is becoming one of the best summer festivals in Barcelona. The festival only chooses the best acts from each genre when picking artists so you will not be unimpressed with the line-up. Headlines this year include: Kendrick Lemar; Lauryn Hill; Damian Marley.
