Lovely Vegetarian Madrid
Can be difficult to be a vegetarian (or a vegan!) in Spain, country of meat and fish!
Sometimes going for a tapas tour can reduces to eating potatoes and olives.
Luckely in last years many vegetarian restaurants opened everywhere in big cities, and one of them is Mamina Restaurant in Madrid, new entry in the veggie list.
It's located on Calle Valverde (if names are not coincidental…), in Chueca area.
The building is lovely painted by Aaron Garcia Bueso, and also inside you will find some of his paintings.
Sfaff is really friendly and welcoming and they offer a really good home made vegetarian couisine. Any product is 100% natural, and most of all are biologic and whole.
You'll find a wide choice of dishes: specialties are gnocchi bolognese with lentils, aubergine stuffed cannelloni with ricotta and mushrooms, pesto polenta and lentil burgers.
Don't miss their special pancakes! A good optcion to choose during the weekend brunch!
Prices are very affordable: the menu dinner for example is 11 euros for a first course, second course, drink, bread, and dessert.
Welcome Mamina, it's a real pleasure for all of us!
