When you are in Barcelona, there are a lot of things you can do: Seeing all of the wonderful sights Barcelona offers like Sagrada Familia and Parc Güell, enjoying delicious and typical Spanish food like tapas and paella, drinking coffee and tea in cosy cafés and – of course – going shopping. It's easy to find cafés and restaurants in Barcelona as they are everywhere. Sights are also very simple to find with a map. But how do you know where the best places to go shopping are? Right: you cannot know. This is why this article is meant to help you out, it intends to show you where the best spots to go shopping in Barcelona are!

Basically, there are three main spots to go shopping in Barcelona, which are the Passeig de Gràcia, the Portal de L'Angel and the shopping centre L'Illa. At Passeig de Gràcia, you will find very expensive stores such as Michael Kors, Prada, Gucci and Burberry. This street is probably the right spot for people who want to buy branded clothes with high quality. If you don't want to spend too much money and prefer shops like H&M, Mango and Zara, the Portal de L'Angel will provide this opportunity for you. Additionally, you can find other Spanish shops in this street, for example Stradivarius, Bershka, Pull & Bear and Blanca – stores that are selling nice and fashionable clothes which are less expensive. It's the perfect place to go shopping for young people! Furthermore, a lot of in-cafés, restaurants and bars can be found at Portal de L'Angel, offering a coffee, a beer or a delicious plate in order to make you relax after a long shopping day. Last but not least, L'Illa, a big shopping centre in Barcelona, is a good place to go shopping. The shopping centre provides more than 170 stores and besides the typical chains like Zara and H&M, you will find little boutiques offering handmade clothes and a lot more. L'Illa serves you very well when it's raining outside.

All in all, it can be said that Barcelona offers shopping possibilities for everyone, for old and young, male and female, bargain hunters and brand lovers. In the picture below, you can see the Passeig de Gràcia, probably the most famous spot to go shopping in Barcelona.
