The Alcazaba of Malaga is a military building palace of the Muslim, was built on an earlier fortification Phoenician-Punic origin. It was constructed mostly in the eleventh century under the leadership of King the Berber Taifa of Granada, Ben Badis Habús, who ordered the construction of the fortress between the years 1057 and 1063. Today is one of the landmarks of the city of Málaga.

It is located on Mount Gibralfaro, near the summit of Gibralfaro, linked by a walled corridor known as the Coracha. Next door you will find the Roman Theater of Málaga, the city park and just in front  the port.
