A must see is defenitly Amsterdam Arena. It is as magnificent multifunctional stadium from the football club Ajax and there are also a lot of events in this stadion. It is the first stadium in the world with an underground passageway and the first stadium in Europe with a sliding roof. So this is not a usual stadium but a very special one.

Walk-in tours:
There are Daily mulitiple Walk-in tours. This Walk-in tour consists of a one-hour tour of the stadium, where an guide shows you as much as possible components of the stadium and Ajax shows. The walk-in tour is offered in Dutch and/or English and can not be reserved in advance.

The ArenA Boulevard is the place to be, where you can work, shop, live and enjoy entertainment. The ArenA Boulevard has a wonderful nightlife area where sports, entertainment, culture and events come togheter, with millions of visitors annually. Amsterdam Arena is very close to the shopping mall  'De Amsterdamse Poort'.

Open monuments day is the second Saterday in September, where thousands of monuments in the Netherlands are free accessible for public. The theme of Open monuments day 2012 reads: Groen van toen (Green of the past).

The participating monuments can be recognized by the Open monuments day flag like the sample shows on the top. During the Open monuments day, more than 60 monuments have opend there door open free to the public (65 in Amsterdam). In addition to opening their doors, many locations also organise on-site activities, such as exhibitions, music and guided tours.

The number of visitors has grown the last years. Nu it´s between 800,000 and 900,000 visitors, that makes the Open monuments day one of the largest cultural events of Netherlands. Every year there are between 3,000 and 4,000 monuments open, all over the country.

When you visit Amsterdam the 8th or the 9th of September you should defenitly use this wonderful chance to see the treasures of Holland.

The most beautiful stage of whole Amsterdam!

 

The Vondelpark OpenAir Theatre in Amsterdam is an OpenAir Theatre right in the middle of one of the most famous nature parks of Holland, the Vondelpark. An unique spot in Amsterdam. There will be al kinds of different people from everywhere to see this event, different age, backgrond, nationality and different areas all together at one spot. 

This unique OpenAir Theatre offers the whole summer from the 3th of June till 2th of Septembre an various program from 125 free performances. 

Sunday the 3th of June will start the new edition of the Vondelpark OpenAir Theatre. The official opening start at 16:00 pm and at 16:30 Alain Clark will perform on stage.

Every weekend till 2th of Septembre, there is dans on Friday, youth performance and Jazz on Saturday noon and carbaret on Saturday evening. On Sunday there will be different kinds of music, varying from pop, rock, classic and dutch.   

 

 

Free entrance!
The Vondelpark OpenAir Theatre is free for already 70 years, and they will keep it that way. 3 days a week, from Friday till Sunday. It´s definitely a recommendation if you are near Amsterdam. Check it out!
