Festa Major de Gràcia
- When: August 15 to August 21
- Where: Gràcia district
Festa Major de Gràcia is just one of the most extravagant and lively festival in Barcelona that no one could ignore its charm. It is a street decoration competition and residents take the prize seriously. During this week, more than 20 streets of the modernist district are decorated into various themes from a cave, New York city, a rainforest, Jurassic Park or even Star War – they are all voted and made by the district's residents. Walking into the streets, you can be amazed by unique and creative decorations that you could never think of.
The festival ends with a prize announcement for the best team. Throughout the festival, there are about 500 family-friendly activities, including concerts, shows, performances parade and workshops. Take place in the fanciest festival of the district and discover the unique and tasteful Catalonia's gastronomic culture with food trucks and food booth in every corner. There is also a less well-known festival – Festes de Sants (Sant Festival) takes place around the third, fourth week of August in Sant district. Festa de Sant Roc

- Where: Gothic Quarter district, venues around Placa Nova
Festa de Sant Roc is not just an annual festival since 1589 but one of the oldest and most traditional street party of Barcelona as well. During the festival, the most striking traditions are presented, such as Sardana dance, correfoc (fire-run), 19-century street games, giant parades and firework. Camp Nou Opening Party

- Where: Camp Nou Stadium
Here you are, in Barcelona – the capital of Catalonia and the home of Barcelona FC, one of the best football teams in the world. The first match of the 2018-2019 season Barca – Boca Juniors takes place on August 15 at Camp Nou Stadium. The fan zone starts at 15:00 whilst pre-match entertainment and squad presentation are at 17:00. The game kicks off at 18:15.

Música als Parcs (Music in the park)

Música als Parcs is a three-month event in which about 50 concerts are performed throughout different parks in the city at no cost. Classical, jazz and blues music are performed at the arranged venues where visitors can take a seat or stand up to enjoy the music.
