It is getting colder in Barcelona. And you don't believe it, but even in this city there is a cold winter.
Maybe it isn't as cold as it is in other countries. But it feels cold to the people here because they are not used to it. What I actually want to say is, the fact that it's getting colder means that Christmas season is on the agenda again. And this is actually one of the best seasons of the year!
In December, Barcelona will be full of events again. We recommend you a mix out of Christmas and other events. Have a look at all the information below.

On Sunday the 21st December, Barcelona's whackiest run takes place starting at Castle Montjuic. This annual run is always held a couple of days before Christmas. The participants have to dress themselves as funny as they can. During your days in Pre-Christmas Barcelona, you will often see logs with friendly faces wearing the traditional red Catalan hat. They are called "Caga Tió" which means 'Poo Log'. It is a Catalan tradition that children observe every day between December 8 and Christmas eve after "Caga Tio". On Christmas eve, they sing a song while they threaten him, if he doesn't poo nice things for them, they hit him with a stick. In the end, the children find a lot of sweet things in the log.
