In October the capital of Spain offers something for everyone's taste. You can go and enjoy high-class exhibitions, shows and of course football matches.
World Press Photo 2017
LASEDE COAM e Inglesia de San Antón exhibits the yearly World Press Photo with the winning images from 2016. The photos recall that what happened one year ago, such as the exodus throughout Europe by the refugees’. The exhibition is going on until 1st of November.
At the exhibition you can see 143 photos chosen from the 80 404 photos submitted. Over 5000 photographers from 125 countries took part in the competition, and 222 of the competitors were Spanish. The winning photo of this year is taken in 19th December 2016 by the Turkish photojournalist Burhan Ozbilici from the Associated Press Agency, when an off-duty policeman assassinated a Russian ambassador in Turkey.

Vivancos Born to Dance
Teatro Nuevo Apolo is home for the Vivancos Born to Dance show from 5th October until 12th November. Their new dance show is a talented and impressing mix between flamenco, martial arts, metal and a live symphonic orchestra. Born to Dance have received acclaiming reviews from international press.

Football
Real Madrid
The football team Real Madrid will be playing three matches in October and one of these is part of the Champions League. All the games are played on the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid. You can buy tickets to all the three games from here.
On Sunday 1st of October Real Madrid faces Espanyol FC. The game is part of the Spanish league La Liga. You can buy tickets to this match from here.
Tuesday 17th is a big day for the team when they play a Champions League match against Tottenham Hotspur FC from England.
Eibar FC will face Real Madrid on Santiago Bernabéu stadium on Sunday 22nd of October. This game is part of the Spanish league La Liga.
Atlético de Madrid
Atlético de Madrid will be playing two home games on Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in October. Both of the games are part of the Spanish league La Liga. You can buy tickets to the games from here.
The first game is played on Saturday 14th of October against FC Barcelona, and the second one on Sunday 29th of October against Villarreal FC.
Madrid Gaming Experience 2017
From 27th to 29th of October is celebrated the 2nd edition of Madrid Gaming Experience 2017. The event is taking place at Feria de Madrid. This is one of the biggest events of the eSports and video gaming branch in Europe!
The event covers an area up to 36,000 square meters including various platforms for all kinds of games, over 1000 gaming stalls, eSports competitions, an area where to try the newest game models for all consoles, and so on.
