Extreme Sailing Series

Extreme Sailing Series™ is an annual global sailing racing series, which is established in 2007. In more than 10 years, it has been taken place in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the Americas. The competition has attracts many professionals inshore sailors, as Olympic medallists, America’s Cup sailors, World and European champions and even word recorded holders.
Extreme Sailing Series™ 2018 takes place in seven iconic cities, including Barcelona, Spain. Fortunately, it offers a free-to-enter Race Village for all visitors. From the Race Village, guests could observe the competition in a short distance, excited with shouts from participated teams on board. Noche de San Juan (Sant Juan Bonfire Festival)

- Where: Barcelona, the beaches
In celebration of St. John’s Eve and summer solstice, bonfires are found in Sant Juan Festival is the biggest outdoor party in Spain with the tradition of kindling fire to defend evil spirits. Even though the festival is held across the country, the most spectacular festivals are seen in Madrid, Granada, Valencia, Gran Canaria and of course Barcelona – where the festival is held just right on the beach!
Under bonfires, firecrackers and fireworks display until the sunrise, thousands of people head to Barcelona beach with their botellón, a type of street drinking party with bottles of spirits, ice, mixers and lemon. Only when the fire is about to burn out, residents jump thought the hot coasts to purify themselves. On Sant Juan Bonfire festival, metro operates all night so do not worry if you get tired in the middle of the party.
Barcelona Pride

With the mission to raise awareness, educate and celebrate diversity, Pride Barcelona was hosted first in 2008. Each year, Pride Barcelona holds programs in different themes such as For LGTBI Rights (2009), Support for Equal Marriage (2012), Homophobia in Sport (2017) and LGTBI Refugees (2018).
Different activities are taken place in Pide Village, Pride Kids and Main Stage, including LGTBI associations, talks, activities, kid-friendly activities, music, dance competitions, DJs and performances of national and international artists. The climax of Barcelona Pride 2018 is the parade, which is on Saturday, June 30, following the route from Jardins de les Tres Xemeneies to Av. Parallel to Pl. Espanya.
