A recommendable activity to enjoy a day outdoors is to go and rent a rowboat in the Ciutadella Park.
The Ciutadella Park is the biggest park in Barcelona. It covers up to 18 hectares, and the area includes a lake, a large fountain designed by Josep Fontserè, the Zoo of Barcelona and the Parliament of Catalonia.
Ciutadella and its hidden corners can be seen very closely with the rowing boats that are available for visitors. The lake is located in the middle of the park and has also a waterfall. During the rowboat experience you can spot several islands, exotic plants and aquatic animals.
You can rent a rowboat throughout the year. From 24th March until 22nd September the boats are available from 10am to 8pm, and from 23rd September until 23rd March the renting is possible from 10am to 6pm.
