November in Barcelona
November… The end of the season, the month of true autumn with daytime temperatures as high as 17°C and as low as 8°C might not sound very inviting and Spanish-like, but it sure does have plenty of advantages and events to attract you there!
The Famous Peak – Montserrat
In the heart of Catalonia, away from the vibrant city of Barcelona, there is a peaceful retreat of Montserrat. The highest point of the region is a hideout for a monastery as well as one of the best day-trip destinations just outside Barcelona.
District of the month: Nou Barris
Nou Barris, or “nine neighbourhoods” in Catalan, is the most northern part of Barcelona. Obviously, the district originally consisted of nine neighbourhoods. Due to the development of the city, there are actually 13 of them now, and the district covers an area of 8.04 km2, but the original name still stands.
