Sant Martí was transformed from the industrial area into the nice and urban district with many modern buildings, of which one is known worldwide. It is the famous Torre Glòries. Formerly known as Torre Agbar because of the initial owner, Agbar Group – a  Spanish company dedicated to distribution and treatment of water. The building was inspired by Montserrat and represents the shape of a geyser rising into the air. With 38 floors it has become the symbol of Barcelona and the icon of the city for New Year celebrations. During the night  4,500 LED lights are laminating the façade making the real light show.
