DCODE Festival 2017
DCODE 2017 is organized in Madrid on Saturday 9th September. The festival takes place in the Madrid Complutense University’s campus. DCODE is an all-day music festival: the concerts will be going on from 12am, Saturday midday, until 6am in the Sunday morning. You can leave and enter the area as you wish until 5pm.
This year at the stage of DCODE will be performing artists such as The Kooks, Band of Horses, Liam Gallagher, Charli XCX and so on. At the festival area beside the concerts you can enjoy a selection of food, activities and fashion, just to mention few.

Toom Pak – Musicadores de Objetos
Musicadores de Objetos is an educational music performance for all ages. The Toom Pak musicians are using different musical instruments: oil barrel drums, bottles, pipes, buckets, and so on. The aim of the show is to raise public’s awareness about recycling.
The rhythm of the instruments and elements of humor makes this production much more than just a concert. In the rhythms and music you can spot elements from Brazilian, Andalusia, Arabic and even classical and electronic music.
The concerts are held from every Friday to Sunday in September at Teatro Nuevo Apolo in Madrid. You can buy your tickets to the show from here.
Pitingo – Soul Bulería and More
The flamenco artist Pitingo performs in Madrid in Teatro de la Luz Philips in September. In his latest show Soul Bulería and More he performs the best flamenco-soul songs together with pop, flamenco and gospel artists.
In 2016 Pitingo released a new album including songs like Stand by, A puro dolor, and cover versions of songs made by Otis Redding and Whitney Houston.

Exhibition – Lee Lozano
Lee Lozano (1930-1999) was a North American artist working on themes such as emergence of civil rights, anti-war movements and the North American protest, the free and easy spirit. She created an impressive collection in which she questions the socially imposed structures.
The selection of Lee Lozano’s works consists of highly erotic drawings and paintings from years 1961-1963, and works done after 1965 that she called “energy paintings”.
The exhibition is going on in the Reina Sofia Museum until 25th of September. You can read more about the exhibition from here.
