Little Italy
For the lovers of all things jazz, this landmark venue must be the top of the list. It has live music every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 9 pm. It is in El Born / La Ribera neighborhood. It started as an Italian restaurant opened in 1988 by Vicente Gómez who decided to put on monthly dinner concerts when he realized art galleries in the area were open until late in the evening. Jamboree Jazz Club
The club was born in the early Sixties as a jazz cellar, is located at Gòtic, and quickly becomes very popular attracting the likes of Bill Coleman, Kenny Drew, Chet Baker, Ornette Coleman, and Lou Bennett. Every night the club hosts jazz, Latin and blues gigs. As one of the city´s most culturally active spots, Jamboree is also an essential element of Plaça Reial (Plaza Real) nightlife. Especially Monday night you must not lose it, the popular WTF jazz jam session that is crammed with many young locals. Upstairs also has Los Tarantos stages flamenco performances.
Jazzman
This small but veteran club is located right at the intersection point of Sagrada Familia, Gràcia and Eixample neighborhoods. It is open since 1979, probably the oldest jazz club in Barcelona. It has live jazz concerts and it seems to go through all the ages. It is a place of enthusiastic where the cocktails flow like the musical notes. It has an amazing relaxing atmosphere, is decorated with eccentric jazz accents and posters. In this cozy and petite bar, you can experience cool jazz music. The gigs start at 22:00 but you have to arrive a half-hour earlier if you want to get a seat upstairs in the mezzanine.
JazzSí
JazzSí is a very popular concert hall in the Raval neighborhood, this music venue is linked to the Taller de Músics, the veteran music school. For over 20 years has provided many young musicians and upcoming artists ready to share their big talent with the world. It has a daily program with live music for the spectators to experience jazz and flamenco from local artists. Also is perfect to taste some cold tapas and a beer while you enjoy some smooth jazz and relax.
Harlem Jazz Club
Harlem Jazz Club is the oldest concert hall in Barcelona, is located in the heart of the Gothic neighborhood. Most days of the week there are live music events ranging from jazz to reggae, blues or Latin. The live music sessions are at 10:30 pm and midnight on weeknights (except Monday). Performances on weekends are later. This club provides a funky environment where visitors can relax and enjoy the local and high quality of music with a well-priced and tasty drink.
