Summer is almost here, and Barcelona is getting busy of all the events and feasts.
Mother’s Day
The mother’s day, in Spanish Día de las Madres, is celebrated every year on the first Sunday of May. This year it falls on Sunday 7th of May.

Feria de Abril de Barcelona
The Feria de Abil de Sevilla is the most famous of the many ferias organized in the south of Spain. The feria of Barcelona is celebrated in the same style. From 28th of April until 7th of May you can enjoy the Sevillan atmosphere in Parc del Forum in Barcelona.
At the feria you can taste delicious traditional foods and drinks from the region of Andalucia, and enjoy the music and dancing of the sevillanas.
It is easy to get to the Parc del Forum by the yellow metro line, and during the feria there will be extra busses to the area from Plaza Catalunya in the city center of Barcelona.

Tapas. Spanish Design for Food
Museu del Disseny de Barcelona (Barcelona Design Museum) presents the Tapas. Spanish Design for Food exhibition until 20th of May. The exhibition has been traveling around the world for three years now at such cities as Miami, Toronto, Tokyo and Seoul, among others.
Tapas. Spanish Design for Food is curated by architect and designer Juli Capella, and it explores the interaction between design and food. In this exhibition you can see more than 250 pieces – everything from furniture to gadgets and from containers to photographs – linking the world of material to food, history and graphic design.

Barcelona Museum Night 2017
20th May is organized the Museum Night of Barcelona. This means, that you can entrance for free to over 80 museums and cultural centres in Barcelona and surrounding areas. The museums will stay open from 7pm until 1pm, and you can take part on free activities, such as concerts and poetry readings, organized by the museums.

The Flying Dutchman
The classic and romantic opera composed by Richard Wagner can be seen at Gran Teatre del Liceu from 2nd to 28th of May. This Wagnerian production is performed by a top-notch cast and directed by stage and cinema director Philipp Stölzl.
The opera is about a love story between young Dutch sailor and captain’s daughter.
