The most important and celebrated days in February are the day of Santa Eulalia and Valentine's Day.
The Giants of Barceloneta neighborhood
Gegants de la Barceloneta called Pep Barceló and Maria la Néta are giants of the Barceloneta neighborhood, and in this exhibition you can see them. The legend says that Maria la Néta, granddaughter of the city giant, fell in love with the pre-olympic Barcelona, and decided to stay here. Pep is a fisherman who arrived to Barcelona on board the submarine named Ictíneo II.
The exhibition is open until 12th of March, and it’s presented in La Casa dels Entremesos in Barceloneta neighborhood.
The Vincent Valentine Show
Do you like stand-up shows? Craft Barcelona in Barrió Gótico presents a new comedy club held in English every Wednesday at 8:30pm. The host of the evenings is Manchester-born Vincent Valentine, and after his one hour show there will be “Stand Up Comedy Live” for two more hours.
Mitja Marato Barcelona
On Sunday 12th February is run the Barcelona Half Marathon. The marathon starts 9:45am in the morning, and both the start and the finish lines are close to Arc de Triomph. Route of the run goes around the city center of Barcelona.

Les Festes de Santa Eulàlia
From Friday 10th to Sunday 12th of February is organized the Festival of Santa Eulàlia. The main program of the festival is on Sunday, and then you can see for example the building of human castles, “castellers”, which is a tradition in Catalonia. The Santa Eulàlia festival offers something for everyone in the family.
One important tradition of the festival is the raising of the flag “Penó de Santa Eulàlia” on Plaza de Jaume in Barrió Gótico at 9:45am in the morning of Santa Eulàlia day.
The festival program consists of different kinds of activities, typical Catalan traditions, family workshops, and much more. Many museums are free to visit during Santa Eulàlia day wich is Sunday, and some of them have open doors during the whole festival.
The Little Prince musical
The famous story about The Little Prince from writer Saint-Exupéry is presented as a musical in Espai Barts next to Paral-lel metro station. The musical is performed from Fridays to Sundays, and it’s going on until Sunday 19th February. Go and enjoy the symbiosis of a 360 sound system, accompanied by the lights and songs, which make you feel you can fly.
